How Care Works

Care here is collaborative and adapts over time. Some people work through psychotherapy only. Some explore medication as part of their care. Others find that a combination of both offers the most support. Medication is never a requirement. Decisions are made together, with respect for your autonomy.

Care is paced intentionally and adjusted as your needs change.

Areas of Focus

Care here isn’t one-size-fits-all. Support is shaped around your neurotype, identity, and lived experience, not a checklist or diagnosis alone.

About Prismatic Psychiatry

Why Work With Prismatic Psychiatry

Meriah Ward, DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

(they/them) | Founder of Prismatic Psychiatry

“Healing is not linear. Progress includes setbacks, and that does not mean you are failing."

Prismatic Psychiatry was created around the belief that care should never require masking, overexplaining, or fitting into someone else’s definition of “normal.” The approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and paced around your needs rather than rushed or one-size-fits-all.

As a neurodivergent provider, Meriah brings both clinical expertise and lived understanding to the foundation of the practice. That perspective continues to shape the way Prismatic Psychiatry approaches care: helping clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported without being minimized or pushed toward quick fixes that do not fit their reality.

Prismatic Psychiatry integrates psychotherapy, psychiatric care, and holistic support to help you build greater clarity, regulation, and confidence in daily life. Medication can be part of that care, but it is never treated as the only option. Decisions are made collaboratively, with respect for your autonomy, preferences, and goals.
