Understand your experiences and explore appropriate support

Have you or your child always felt out of sync?

You might have spent years trying to understand why social interactions feel exhausting, why certain environments are overwhelming, or why changes in routine affect you more than other people seem to understand. For parents, it may be noticing that your child experiences communication, sensory, or emotional differences that aren’t fully explained by what you’ve been told. These experiences don’t automatically mean someone is autistic. But they are worth understanding.

An autism evaluation provides space to explore these patterns with a clinician who understands neurodivergence beyond the usual assumptions.

What Is Autism Testing?

An autism assessment is a comprehensive clinical evaluation that explores communication, social experiences, sensory processing, routines, interests, and developmental history. At Prismatic Psychiatry, the process includes detailed conversations, questionnaires, clinical observation, and information from relevant records or people who know you or your child well when appropriate. We also consider conditions that may overlap with autism, including ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health concerns. The goal is an accurate evaluation that considers the whole person, not simply how someone presents during an appointment.

Children & Teens (Ages 5–17)

Every child communicates, learns, and experiences the world differently. Sometimes those differences raise questions about autism.

Adults (Ages 18+)
